SPECIAL NEEDS CATS FOR ADOPTION
If you're looking for a new feline friend to brighten up your life, these special needs cats would love to share your home. They are some of the most adoptable and friendly cats in our care and we'd love for you to meet them! These foster cats are being listed as Special Needs because they have an ongoing issue, disease or disability that requires continued care and attention. Special Needs cats are harder to place in permanent homes because of their needs for extra care, attention, and/or potential veterinary expenses. Please call, email or write for information about times when the cats can be visited.

Let’s Play Peek-A-Boo
Raquel was rescued from a feral cat colony in Hamden. She is a beautiful tabby female a little over 1 year old. Raquel bonds very quickly with cats, and is a little shy with people, but she is also very curious, and once she has earned your trust, she is your new best friend. Raquel recently underwent hip dysplasia surgery. She needs to be on cosequin (oral medication) to help with the stiffness after the surgery. Raquel would do best in a home with another cat and without any dogs or a lot of activity. She needs a little TLC, but will certainly become a very loyal companion. Please contact The Greater New Haven Cat Project, Inc. (GNHCP) at (203) 782-2287 or gnhcp1@gnhcp.org.
