People and Pets: Teaching Kids Proper Pet Care

  • Whitneyville Cultural Commons 1253 Whitney Avenue Hamden, CT, 06517 United States (map)

Dogs and cats live by their ears, eyes, and nose in our homes. Kids and parents will learn how to be a responsible pet caregiver by identifying their pet’s behaviors through how they respond to their environment in a fun, interactive workshop. At the end of the workshop, each family will receive a special gift from Janet Marlow’s pet company, Pet

Come hear Janet Marlow, M.A. Sound Behaviorist, author and researcher, speak about this topic at our first People and Pets session this year. This is part of the GNHCP's People and Pets educational talk series with visiting lecturers presenting about animal and pet-related topics. Each talk will last 30 minutes to an hour. Afterwards, there will be a kids’ craft session where children can make educational and animal-related crafts to bring home.

All talks will be from 5:30 - 7 PM, and will be located in the Oak Room Studio at the Whitneyville Cultural Commons:
1253 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT
